Bookmarks, Bookmarks, Bookmarks!

This week, we learned about networking knowledge activities. I found the lesson to be really interesting because it made me feel good to know that my obsession with bookmarking things I find interesting can help me a better educational curator! I may be exaggerating here a bit, but I really do think it's cool to think about the relationship and progression from collecting online media knowledge to constructing new online media knowledge.

I think this is one way to show how powerful and educational social media can be. After the readings, I understand that NKA's can take place in person as well, however it does appear to be easier to do on social media sites. X (formerly twitter) is one of the first sites that comes to mind when I think about this, because that site was essentially made to share thoughts quickly. Before Elon bought it, likes were public to everyone, and now you can view how many bookmarks a page/tweet has. It also was the first site, that had a repost or "quote tweet" feature. Just interesting to think about how great some of these sites can be if they were used more intentionally!
